No End In Sight

By all standards it has been a tremendously busy year, with no end in sight. Well, after the 15th of December we’ll be kicking back and enjoy some pool time…

Here is a short list of current shows and exhibitions I am participating in.

For those who are in Pretoria over the holidays the Pretoria Art Museum has, over and above Blow Your Sculpture, also an excellent exhibition of their permanent collection with new, contemporary acquisitions.

View Gallery in Norwood, Johannesburg is showing the works made in collaboration with Emil Kováč during a recent international workshop instigated by Maxi Pretorius and facilitated by Smelt Glass Studio.

Prime Meridian, a group exhibition curated by Anna Liebenberg concluded this week at Trent Gallery. Many of the works will still be on show alongside their exhibition program during the holidays.

Moór Gallery in Franschhoek is hosting as part of the Summer Season festivities Vernissage, a group show focussing on renowned South African artists working in various media.

Also keep your eyes open for a new book from Schiffer titled Glass Art: 112 Contemporary Artists. I am proud to be one of the selected artists represented in this publication compiled and written by Barbara Purchia & E. Ashley Rooney.

I will also be giving a talk with Q&A on my recent glass journey from Pretoria to Corning at Long Street Art Lovers 1932 on Tuesday the 6th of December starting at 18:00.

Warmest wishes to everybody!
