It’s with great excitement to launch Precious Beasts Photograms with “Pixel Cat #1” as my first NFT on OpenSea.

Pixel Cat is an existing sculpture from my Precious Beasts series, carved from a solid block of optical glass. I used a photogram process to capture the sculpture on photographic paper in my darkroom and then scanned it to digitally paint on the image. The digitally painted colours reflect prehistoric use of ochre.

With my Precious Beasts Photograms I am using a repertoire of technology ranging from carving and sculpting to capturing an image photographically and then digital painting… linking the essence of material culture from prehistory to the present.
