“Crystal Head” emerged from the detritus of bits and pieces accumulating over years in my studio.
Inspired by the fragmented prehistoric sculpture, “Der Löwenmensch”, or Lion Person, these new works resemble an anthropomorphic shape mystically intertwined with animism.
I believe humanity has a deep-rooted, yet unconscious assimilation to our ancient past, where specifically made objets tell stories across the divide of time, culture and beliefs.
