Precious Beasts is the title of my upcoming exhibition at Ebony/Curated and the fantastical series of glass sculptures I have been working on.

These beasts started appearing whilst watching the shadows play against the walls in my proverbial cave. Thoughts coalesced through reading papers on the origins of material culture and how abstract symbolism links the humans lineage.

What fascinates me is this connection to our distant ancestors and how they still speak to us today through their art and artefacts.

My Precious Beasts sculptures are an attempt to carve a thread across this immense chasm of time to the present.

There is something magical about mankind’s ability to create value through creativity and the process of making.

Precious Beasts opens 11:30 at Ebony/Curated on Sunday the 20th of March and can be viewed till the 30th of April 2022.
