Changing Channels Photograms
Each Changing Channels photogram is made in the darkroom through multiple exposures on a single sheet of photographic paper. A carved optical glass sculpture provides one layer of the image. A hand-cut cardboard stencil blocks and shapes the light. The paper knows nothing until it meets the developer.
These images are made with light. Not captured — constructed.

The image reveals itself slowly. The darker areas appear first. Then the details. Mistakes and intentional placements become permanent at the same moment. I couldn’t have imagined the result before I made it.
The screen shape comes from my TINATV sculptures — hand carved optical glass, part of my Apparatus branch, examining how mass media frames and distorts perception. The Beast inside the screen comes from my Anima branch — ancient impulse, prehistoric presence. In the darkroom they merge into one image. Ancient and immediate. Analogue and irreversible.
