Homo Faber Guide

Lothar Böttcher has been inducted into the Homo Faber Guide as a recognised master artisan — one of very few South Africans, and the only cold-working glass sculptor from continent, to be included in this definitive international register of exceptional craft practitioners.

The Homo Faber Guide is an initiative of the Michelangelo Foundation, dedicated to celebrating and preserving the finest examples of European and international craftsmanship. Induction places Böttcher among a global community of master craftspeople whose work represents the highest standard of technical and artistic achievement in their field.
